Atlanta IT jobs are booming

The number of Atlanta IT jobs are exploding, according to a recent survey from CareerBuilder.

According to the survey, Atlanta added more than 8,000 technology jobs from 2010 to 2013, a 9 percent increase.

he creation of 100 jobs in Software Publishing, an industry with average earnings of $140,304, can lead to the addition of 503 jobs in other industries. The average earnings for the new jobs would be $61,488.* A sample of occupations that would be created as a result of 100 jobs being added in Software Publishing include:

Company hires for executive jobs in Atlanta

One company has secured a key hire to fill executive jobs in Atlanta.

TowerPoint Capital (TowerPoint) has appointed eleven year industry veteran Jesse Wellner as Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors appointed Wellner.

Wellner previously held the position of Managing Director and head of TowerPoint’s national originations platform.

During his tenure, Wellner has directed a series of capital markets initiatives, raising both institutional equity and debt for TowerPoint’s operations and acquisitions.

Wellner architected senior management’s recent acquisition of the company from Land Lease Group (LLG) and subsequent partnership with AllianceBerstein Private Credit Investors.

John Gutowski, TowerPoint’s Chief Operating Officer, commented, “Jesse has helped reshape and retool the company. He’s built relationships, and he’s built confidence. Company hires for HR jobs in Atlanta

One company has made a key hire for HR jobs in Atlanta.

Innotrac Corporation, a commerce provider integrating digital technology, fulfillment, contact center and business intelligence solutions, said that Mesale Solomon has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

Solomon has over 15 years of Human Resources experience, having previously worked with several large companies. Since 2008, she served in various leadership roles for Fortune 500 Avis Budget Group, most recently leading talent acquisition and diversity efforts for the North American region.

A graduate of Western Michigan University, Solomon also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Human Resources Management from Clark Atlanta University.

In her new role at Innotrac, Solomon will serve as a member of the Executive team, overseeing human resources, employee engagement and internal communications.
